Russians are complaining about double debits from bank cards from as many as 13 banks at once. The problem was found on Sber’s side

Clients of 13 banks at once complained that they had double write-offs on their transactions.

As Frank Media found out, this happened due to an error on the part of the acquirer, Sberbank. Some clients who paid for purchases in its terminals faced double debiting of funds on their cards.

Banks have already promised to return in the coming days the money that was debited from users by mistake.

Double debits occurred due to a failure in Sberbank terminals; the amounts will be returned automatically. For our part, we are doing everything possible to ensure this is resolved as soon as possible.

The list of victims included clients of Rosbank, Unicreditbank, T-Bank, VTB, Moscow Credit Bank (MCB), Alfa Bank, Ak Bars, Gazprombank, Zenit, UBRIR, SDM Bank, Raiffeisenbank and Rosbank. (Frank Media)
