Russians have lost access to new drivers for Nvidia video cards

Users from Russia have lost the ability to download new versions of drivers for Nvidia graphics accelerators. When I try to download a new driver from the company’s official website, it shows an access error message. It is also not possible to update already installed drivers. In other countries, this problem is not observed.

It is important to note that some users are reporting online that they have lost access to the Nvidia website. Others write that their website is still opening, including the driver download page. However, when trying to download a file with a driver package, the user is shown various errors. A quick check revealed at least two error options:

Access denied. This request has been blocked by Edgecast WAF (Access denied, in accordance with NVIDIA Information Security Policy)

The GeForce Experience application, which is used to install new driver versions, also refuses to download updates.

It is possible that this is only a temporary problem and access will be restored soon. However, it is possible that the blocking is related to Nvidia’s compliance with sanctions and now Russian users will have to download drivers using workarounds. For example, you can download drivers from the Microsoft catalog by simply entering the model of your video card in the search bar.

If you notice an error, select it with the mouse and press CTRL+ENTER.
