Ryzen 9800X3D specifications have leaked, the base clock is supposed to reach 4.7 GHz

The long-speculated Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor is expected to be revealed by the end of October. The model with 3D V-Cache is among the top processors for gamers, which will also use the new Zen 5 architecture. The newly leaked specifications of this processor also indicate an early announcement.

These appeared in MaxSun’s documentation for their AM5 motherboards, more precisely in the table of supported processors. Interestingly, the processor is listed as Ryzen 9 9800X3D. It should contain 8 cores and 16 threads with a base clock of 4.7 GHz. The upper clock limit is not specified, but according to speculation it should stop between 5.2 and 5.5 GHz.

Further information speaks of a 120 W TDP, a total of 96 MB cache, allegedly through 32 MB L3 cache and 64 MB through V-Cache. This is a significant jump of 900 MHz compared to the 9700X and 500 MHz compared to the 7800X3D. This information must be taken with a grain of salt, but AMD will hopefully soon officially introduce the processor to us.
