Peter Kaščák, Slovak representative in para-hockey, died at the age of 42.
He was part of the team at the ZPH 2022 in Beijing, where the Slovaks completed the premiere under five rings and took 7th place. The Facebook page of the Slovak Parahockey informed about it.
“Friends, like everyone else, our parahockey family has not only bright days, but also dark ones. Unfortunately, we have to inform you with pain that we have lost our member and player Peť Kaščák. It is difficult for us to write anything about it, we are terribly sad,” said the Slovak parahockey team. He did not specify the cause of death.
One of the few “amphibians” in Slovak parasports, he started as a parachutist and even started at the Summer Paralympics in London 2012. He has been a member of the parahockey team since 2017 and was not absent from its greatest successes. He had an accident in 2002, when he was caught by a train at a crossing.
The last farewell to the athlete will be on Friday, November 15 at 1:00 p.m. at the house of mourning in Ľubotín in the district of Stará Ľubovňa.
