Salary increases must be higher than inflation, pensions must grow

GUESTING on TV Prva, the president of Serbia said that he can do something else in 2027 and that he wants to leave behind a legacy of changed consciousness of a larger number of people.

– I would like to be sidelined, or in the shadows. I’m not going to guarantee anything, but if I would like it, here I openly say yes. I feel now that I have to direct all my strength, everything I have for the progress and growth of Serbia. All elections are over, there won’t be any for another three years. My goal in life now is to try to change everything in the next three years! By the end of August, I want to set everything up, to see how realistic it is for us to increase salaries and pensions. A real increase, to make it a stable progress. Our inflation is at 3.8 percent. July was somewhat worse for us due to the rise in oil prices, in August I believe that oil will continue to reverse, and that will further reduce inflation – said the president.

– You can no longer understand what we are doing to secure Expo 2027. That is salaries of 1400 euros, pensions of 650 euros. This is the general progress of Serbia.
