A salon employee named Karthik Sheel (25) died after being electrocuted in Patia. He is the son of beloved Lal Sheel of Sheel Para of Kaliaish village in Shobhandandi Union of Upazila.

Adnan Sami, a friend of the deceased Karthik Sheel, said that at around 10:30 in the morning, Karthik was cleaning the leaves of a tree on a tin bark near the house. At that time he was electrocuted by touching the rural electricity wire.
At that time, the family members took him to Patia Upazila Health Complex and the doctor on duty declared him dead.
The emergency department of the health complex was called several times to find out about this, but they did not receive the call.
