Salvation for the poor – Vesti online

After our recent appeal to good people all over the world to help the poor and immobile grandmother Stana Minic from remote Dragočevo na Rogozna before the first snows and frosts and to the lonely and seriously ill old man Miloš Marković, a resident of the abandoned village of Pavlje

Our anonymous reader and benefactor from Switzerland reacted immediately, personally visiting the “Vesti” newsroom in Belgrade and leaving a donation of
30,000 dinars, or about 250 euros. At the request of the benefactor, Stana and Miloš were given assistance from
15,000 dinars. Both are long-term residents of our Humanitarian Bridge. Our readers have been helping the infirm Stana for a decade and a half, Miloš for more than a decade. If not for human kindness and help
from the diaspora, old and sick, without any income and no one of their own, they would not be able to survive and survive in the mountainous hinterland. The help of a benefactor from Switzerland came to them at just the right moment
a few hours before the heavy snow that had already brought the first troubles to the few mountaineers.

– “Vesti” readers saved me 15 years ago, when my mother Cveta was still alive. They were

The seriously ill Miloš Marković from the village of Pavlje in Golija, who has been living alone for years, without a pension or social assistance, was also very happy to help. Good neighbors from next door help him
villages who occasionally bring him bread and a liter of milk, and relatives from Kragujevac who take him to Šumadija when it’s coldest and temporarily save him from freezing. When the warm Miloš returns to his poor little house in Golija.

– Thank you very much to the benefactors from Switzerland and everyone who has helped me so far. Any help is worth its weight in gold to me, whether it’s for food or medicine. I could not survive without good people and a humane diaspora. And I will use this donation, for the most part, for medicines. I hope that the benefactors will not forget me during the winter – says Miloš.

Another valuable donation arrived these days in Golija and Rogozna, 200 euros were sent by the Čolović family from the vicinity of Lyon in France, in the desire to help with 100 euros each the lonely and sick old lady Radmila Tošić from Kuzmičevo in Golija and also the lonely and sick Tihomir Balović from Rajetic to Rogozna. Grandmother Radmila has no one of her own, she survives thanks to human kindness. Tihomir’s wife, Milica, recently passed away. In the future, he will have to do everything alone with all the difficulties.

For a long time, poor Tihomir Balović from Rajetic on Rogozna, in misery and poverty, fought to save his seriously ill wife Milica. Our readers also helped him. Unfortunately, at the beginning of November, Milica passed away, so in the future, Tihomir will have to fight with illness and poverty alone.

Joy and happiness

– Thank you very much to the Čolović family, they came to my aid when I was at my hardest. And I spent the last dinar for Milica’s treatment. Unfortunately, there was no way to save her. Now I have a tough fight for survival in the desolate Rogozna. I hope that the readers of “Vesti” will continue to be with me. I wish the benefactors from France good health and that the new year brings them a lot of joy and happiness – says Tihomir.

A donation of 50 francs was also sent by our regular reader and long-time benefactor Milenko Šipka from Switzerland, who dedicated his help to Radan Grebović and his blind wife Marija, residents of Sjenica who only recently became wards of our Humanitarian Bridge. The donation will be handed over in the coming days as soon as some more help arrives to the Grebović family and when the weather conditions in Pešter improve.
