Samsung finally adds the shortcut to Google Wallet

Google confirmed a few months ago that a new “Quick Settings” pane for Google Wallet was about to be launched. However, it looked like that by telephone Samsung hadn’t received the feature yet, but that will change this week.

9to5Google reports that Samsung phones are now getting the new box Google Wallet “Quick Settings”. The feature apparently requires versioning 24.39 Of Google Play Services and the version 24.38 on Google Wallet.

This scenario is exactly why you need a new Google Wallet “Quick Settings” tile. The legacy Wallet tile was one functionality at the system level that manufacturers could choose to eliminate, and Samsung evidently eliminated it from One UI. The new tile, on the other hand, is actually a feature app based (although it still requires a recent version of Play Services).

This box is useful if you want to quickly access passes, tickets and other documents in the Google Wallet app. You can also make contactless payments on an unlocked phone without actually opening Google Wallet, but the box is also useful for further visual confirmation.
