At the IFA, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Fit 3 for Germany. With a recommended retail price of 65 euros, the fitness tracker is comparatively inexpensive.
With the Galaxy Fit 3, Samsung is launching a new fitness tracker at the IFA, which according to manufacturer is designed to impress with a robust aluminum housing and a 1.6-inch display.
Compared to the previous model, the display is said to be 45 percent wider, which should give users a better overview of their data. According to Samsung, the light and slim tracker is comfortable to wear around the clock and has a long battery life of up to 13 days.
The fitness tracker also offers a wide range of personalization options, such as choosing from over 100 watch faces or your own photos as a background. The wristband can also be easily changed to adapt the tracker to your individual look.
Sleep monitoring and fitness features
The Galaxy Fit 3 is said to offer a range of features for monitoring fitness and health. These include recording sleep patterns, detecting snoring and measuring blood oxygen levels. Based on the data collected, users receive personalized sleep coaching to help them better understand and improve their sleep.
During the day, the Galaxy Fit 3 keeps an eye on various activities. The tracker recognizes over 100 types of training sessions and records them. With its water resistance up to a depth of 50 meters and dust protection (IP68), the Galaxy Fit 3 is also suitable for outdoor activities.
Security features and networking
The Galaxy Fit 3 also offers safety features such as fall detection and the ability to call emergency services in an emergency. A manual emergency call function can be used to request help if needed. The fitness tracker can also be used to control connected devices, such as remotely controlling the smartphone camera or controlling music.
Galaxy Fit 3: Availability and price
The Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 will be available from mid-September in the color variants Dark Gray, Silver and Pink Gold at a price of 65 euros. However, Samsung has not yet revealed when exactly the wearable will be launched on the market.
