Samsung has decided to more than double the number of manufactured devices to try to cover the demand.
Samsung’s smart ring Galxy Ring has barely made it to market, but pre-orders have prompted Samsung to more than double production. This according to the Korean publication The Elec.
Initially, the company set cautious forecasts with relatively limited production of 400,000 units. However, the reaction on the market has meant that they are said to have increased production by a further 600,000 units and thus invest in getting one million units out.
As a comparison, the biggest competitor Oura, which is in its third generation of smart rings, should have sold a little over a million units in total since the first Oura ring was launched in 2017.
