Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim could arrive in May, but it will be less thin than the iPhone Air

Given the latest rumors, the 2025 it could be the year of ultra-thin smartphones: manufacturers, in fact, are showing themselves increasingly interested in offering products with limited thicknesses, also favored by innovations such as silicon-carbon batteries which allow the creation of “slimer” bodies without sacrificing autonomy. In addition to Apple, it seems that too Samsung is moving with conviction in this direction.

As reported by SmartprixGalaxy S25 Slim will be incredibly thin: only 6.4 mm, (which becomes 8.3 mm at the camera module), about 2 mm less than the Galaxy S24 Ultra but over 1 mm more than the rumored iPhone Air , which could boast a thickness of just 5.5mm.

The overall dimensions of the device should be approximately 159 x 76 x 6.4 mm, making it more compact than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which measures 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm. This new model is 1.6 mm narrower, 3.8 mm shorter and 1.8 mm thinner than its Ultra counterpart, with the screen having a diagonal of between 6.7 and 6.8 inches and will be surrounded by extremely thin bezels.

No changes compared to design recently adopted by the S series, with aluminum edges, glass back cover and three sensors on the back: ua main camera from 200 MP (HP5), u50MP ultra-wide angle na (JN5) eu50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom.

Samsung should adopt the design ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) for the telephoto lens, which positions the lenses in front of the prism instead of behindallowing you to maintain a reduced thickness without sacrificing zoom capabilities.

From the point of view of performance, il Galaxy S25 Slim it will be powered by the chipset Snapdragon 8 Elitesupported by 12 GB of RAM and the Android 15 operating system with the One UI 7 interface.

The official launch of the Galaxy S25 Slim is expected in May 2025. However, it is possible that it will be previewed during the Unpacked event in January, along with the other models in the Galaxy S25 series (S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra).
