Samsung Galaxy S25 will be presented on January 22

The time has come: Samsung announces the day on which a major event will take place. The Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra will most likely be unveiled on January 22.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025

The first major Samsung event of 2025 will take place on January 22the manufacturer announces. Samsung announces that the big keynote on that day will be at 7:00 PM Dutch time starts. The event will take place – just like last year with the Galaxy S25 unveiling – in San Jose, United States.

Galaxy Unpacked 2025 is announced in a short teaser video, which you can see above. In the video we see Galaxy AI, the set of AI functions that were introduced last year. Samsung is expected to release major improvements to Galaxy AI later this month.

The spotlight is of course mainly focused on the new Galaxy S25 smartphones. The devices have been almost completely leaked, so we know what to expect. This year, Samsung will launch the regular Galaxy S25, the larger Galaxy S25 Plus and the ultimate flagship, the S25 Ultra.

Everything about the Galaxy S25 series

They all run on a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the fastest processor at the moment. The devices look quite similar to their predecessors, although the Ultra has a more playful design with rounded corners. Furthermore, the screen edges become a lot thinner.

Furthermore, for the first time, the normal Galaxy S25 would have 12GB of RAM to properly run all Galaxy AI functions. Nothing changes about the cameras: you once again get a 50 megapixel main camera, a 12 megapixel wide-angle lens and a 10 megapixel telephoto lens with which you can zoom in 3x.

Furthermore, there have been rumors for some time about the Galaxy S25 Slim, a thinner version of the new flagship. However, it does not seem that we will see this smartphone on January 22. Samsung will probably only present the S25 Slim later this year.
