Based on the leaks, the Flip6 will be a very moderate update with a new system chip, a better main camera and a bigger battery.
Image leaks of new phone models are more the rule than the exception, but leaking official press images in advance is not quite as common. This time, however, press photos have been leaked and the target is Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip6, which will be released next week.
Leaker Evan ‘evleaks’ Blass has tweeted a long list of official press photos of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip6 phone on X. You can see from the pictures that the new phone will only be renewed moderately and, for example, the front cover of the phone does not have a screen that covers its entire area like many competitors, but the screen is 3.4″ like the Flip5 and equipped with a 720×748 resolution. However, it is not a question of a completely identical screen, but as you know, in Flip6 it will support a refresh rate of 120 Hz instead of 60 Hz. The internal display, on the other hand, according to the leaks, is identical to its predecessor in all its features.
On the camera side, however, there is a bit more new and, according to leaks, the phone’s main camera has now been updated with a 50 megapixel sensor (f/1.8). The 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, on the other hand, seems identical to the last generation, as does the punched-through 10-megapixel selfie camera at the top of the inner screen.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy version will be pulsing inside the Flip6 and it will be paired with either 256 or 512 GB of storage space and probably 8 or 12 GB of memory. Although the dimensions of the phone have reportedly remained identical to its predecessor, among other changes, a 4000 mAh battery has been added inside, while the Flip5 had a 3700 mAh battery.
