Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra is still in the game. Will we see it at the end of the year?

Even before the launch of the new generation of smartphones with a foldable display from Samsung, there was speculation about the arrival of the Fold6 model in versions Ultra or Slim. The official premiere is already over and we know that only two pieces of puzzle have reached the market again – Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6.

However, the latest information, said to be from reliable sources, insists that Samsung is still working on the next version of the foldable smartphone. The fact that it is still being developed does not mean that it will actually go on sale one day.

According to a report on the website androidauthority.com a Dutch site on servers belonging to Samsung was the first to report test firmware for model (SM-F958N). The firmware had country codes KOO, KTC, SKC and LUC which seem to correspond only to the Korean market.

This can keep fans of the brand in the hope that Samsung has not rejected the existence of another model, but it is also a confirmation that the possible introduction of the new product is still too far away. Optimists allow themselves to hope for a release at the turn of 2024 and 2025. It is said that the new version should offer a larger diagonal for the external and internal screens and a thinner construction.

The thickness of the structure is the disadvantage of the folding Samsung Fold, it cannot compete with other manufacturers. For example, Honor already showed last year that the structure can be less than a centimeter thick when folded, and the recently introduced Honor Magic V3 has an open body that is only 4.4 mm thin. Even though this year’s Fold6 is thinner than its predecessor, the Fold5, we’re still talking about 12.1mm when closed. When using it, the difference between the Honor and Samsung puzzle is really noticeable.

Even if Samsung finally decided and released a new model of the folding smartphone Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra / Slim, it is not certain whether they would even reach the European market. So everything still remains at the level of speculation and conjecture.
