Samsung greased all the new iPhones! Its staying power is absolutely fantastic

  • The new iPhone 16 series promises better battery life, but falls short of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
  • All iPhone 16 models outperformed their predecessors from the 15 series in the battery life test
  • Despite the more advanced 3nm chip, Apple still falls short of Samsung’s 5000mAh battery

This year, Apple did not come up with any revolution with the iPhone 16 series. Instead, he opted for a path of incremental improvements—slightly better cameras, a slightly faster chip, a photo button. Nothing to blow your mind. But watch out, there’s one thing Apple is trumpeting to the world as a major upgrade: battery life. The popular YouTuber Mrwhosetheboss took the new iPhones to the test and compared them to last year’s models and the eternal rival, Samsung, namely the Galaxy S24 Ultra model. And the results? These are very interesting!

In a test that simulated normal use (scrolling through social networks, watching YouTube, using Slack or shooting 4K video), it emerged as the clear winner Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Its 5000mAh battery lasted incredible 12 hours and 31 minutes. The iPhone 16 Pro Max came in second with 11 hours and 22 minutes. That’s an hour and a bit less than Samsung, but still almost two hours more than last year’s model. So Apple has definitely made progress, but the South Korean colossus served us a flagship this year with quite possibly the best battery life on the market. And this despite the fact that Apple uses a more advanced one Second generation 3nm chipwhile Samsung runs on a 4nm Snapdragon. The rest of the iPhone 16 family hovered around 8 hours to almost 9 hours.

iPhone 16 Ultimate Battery Test!

Testing results:

  • Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra – 12 hours and 31 minutes
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max – 11 hours and 22 minutes
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max – 9 hours and 35 minutes
  • iPhone 16 Plus – 8 hours and 45 minutes
  • iPhone 16 Pro – 8 hours and 19 minutes
  • iPhone 16 – 8 hours and 19 minutes
  • iPhone 15 – 7 hours and 45 minutes

Remember that these tests are only indicative. The actual battery life naturally depends on how you actually use the phone.
