Samsung has claimed that it will outsource Exynos production to TSMC

The “hard” races to correct problems in the development of new Exynos processorsare being continued by Samsung and a possible solution to get out of the deadlock is to outsource production to TSMC. This rumor was backed up by a former Qualcomm employee and current industry analyst.

If this rumor turns out to be true, then it’s likely to involve future Exynos products, such as the Exynos 2500 model which is still happening, despite reports of low initial yields.

TSMC also makes competitor chips, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for example.

It should be noted that even if the switch to TSMC is made, Samsung will continue to design the Exynos chip architecture. The main company handles everything from R&D to distribution, only the manufacturing side is outsourced, in this case – to TSMC.
