Samsung smartphones will receive a feature that will significantly improve the gaming experience

Samsung Galaxy S25 series could bring a significant jump in performance, not only thanks to the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, but also new features aimed at playing games. According to a well-known leaker on Twitter, Samsung is working on a game mode for its nadstavbu One UI, which should bring a smoother gaming experience. The portal informed about the report AndroidAuthority.

Supposedly it should be about technology interpolation of images (frames), which can generate additional frames between the original ones. This could ensure that games that normally run at 60Hz will be displayed at 120Hz, greatly improving image fluidity. In the attached screenshot shared by the leaker, the possibility to increase the frequency is mentioned from 60 Hz to 120 Hz using this technology. This would certainly be welcomed especially by passionate players, as in some games their fluidity is a point of failure.

Something similar was already here

There are speculations that Samsung could use the technology for this mode Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2.0 (AFME 2.0) of Qualcomm. According to Qualcomm, AFME 2.0 can double the number of frames per second without increasing power consumption. In practice, this would mean smoother gaming without a negative impact on battery life or overheating of the device, which older models struggle with.

Image interpolation technology is not completely new. For example, OnePlus 12 already offers a similar solution and even Samsung had something similar in its previous models in the form of a feature Frame Booster. However, experience so far indicates that this version did not achieve such significant changes and improvements as competing solutions.

If these speculations are confirmed, the new game mode could debut in the models of the Galaxy S25 series. It is likely to be available only for models with a Snapdragon chipset, which could limit the availability of this feature depending on the region. Competition on the Slovak market can be devices such as the aforementioned OnePlus 12 or Xiaomi 14, which already offer similar functions. This time, we should expect the Galaxy S25 series already at the beginning of January.
