Samsung unveiled a special edition of its top model

• The Galaxy Z Fold SE offers a thinner body and a 200MP main camera
• The novelty will be available only in South Korea from October 25
• The price starts at CZK 56,500 in conversion

Samsung surprised again. The South Korean giant presented a special edition of its folding phone – Galaxy Z Fold SE. And it looks like it’s a really pumped up piece. The improved Galaxy Z Fold SE is thinner than the regular model and has significantly improved cameras. Unfortunately, only customers in South Korea will enjoy it.

Let’s see how the Galaxy Z Fold SE differs from the standard model. The biggest difference can be found in the thickness – the new version has only 100 mm when folded 10,6 mm compared to 12.1mm for the regular Z Fold 6. That’s a noticeable difference that anyone who carries the phone in their pocket will appreciate. In addition, the novelty is 3 grams lighter.

However, the main attraction of the Galaxy Z Fold SE is undoubtedly the improved camera. While the standard model has to settle for a 50Mpx main sensor, the special edition got one 200Mpx chip. And it’s not just any sensor – it’s the same camera found in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This is a really welcome change, because the main sensor in the standard Fold has been the same for several generations, and its photo results do not quite correspond to a phone for several tens of thousands. The rest of the photo equipment remains the same as the regular Fold.

Samsung also increased the RAM to 16GB RAMa proven one takes care of the performance Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 pro Galaxyi.e. the same chipset as the regular Z Fold 6.

The novelty will cost 2,789,600 KRW (approx. 56,500 CZK including VAT), but in order to buy it, you would have to throw in around 1,000 EUR for a return ticket. Samsung is launching the Galaxy Z Fold SE only in the domestic market. In addition, it will still be available only at selected retailers. The phones will be available from October 25, 2024, and for those who order them before the end of the year, there are bonuses in the form of discounts on the Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds3 Pro and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. That the Galaxy Z Fold would look outside of its native country, not very likely.
