Samsung has renewed its line of computers at CES with the presentation of the Galaxy Book5 Pro laptop and the Galaxy Book5 360 convertible.
Samsung is preparing the launch of its new generation of mobile phones, Galaxy S25, and this week it confirmed that the Unpacked event will be held on January 22. It is its main product beyond its televisions or monitors also presented at CES or the line of PCs in question, where the South Korean giant has less offer than the large manufacturers, but always standing out.
Galaxy Book5 Pro
A ‘pure’ laptop that follows the design of the Book4 and its premium aluminum chassis. It will be sold in variants with 14 and 16 inch AMOLED screens multi-touch with native resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
Samsung laptops use hardware IntelCore Ultra 7 or 5 (series 2) without expressly announcing models and whether they are from the latest generation. They use integrated Intel graphics, can equip 16 or 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and their storage with SSD ranges from 256 GB to 1 TB.
Connectivity is updated to the latest wireless standards, Wi-Fi 7 y Bluetooth 5.4in addition to two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB Type A port, a microSD card slot, HDMI 2.1 output, backlit keyboard and a 2 MP webcam with 1080p resolution. Its battery capacity ranges from 63 to 76 Wh and the company promises up to 25 hours of autonomy.
Galaxy Book5 360
Samsung offers the ‘360’ series for users who prefer convertibles and versatility provided by its 360 degree hinge system and the varied modes of use, from tablet to laptop, through intermediate modes.
The new model has a 15.6 inch AMOLED screenwith 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of only 60 Hz, which makes it clear that Samsung is reducing costs on the ‘360 Pro’ models. Uses Intel Core Ultra 7 or 5 processors, up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and SSD for storage up to 1 Tbyte. It has a 2 MP and 1080p webcam, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB type A connection, a microSD card slot and an HDMI port.
Samsung’s new laptops will pre-install Windows 11 and support the manufacturer’s Galaxy AI ecosystem, artificial intelligence features and integration with the company’s mobile devices. They will be available in February. No prices have been defined.
