The Galaxy Ring will be available in multiple sizes from the end of January 2025, new features help healthy sleep
Samsung Electronics announces that the Galaxy Ring will be available in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The ring will be sold in 15 new markets(1)bringing the total number to 53. Furthermore, the ring will be available in two new larger sizes 14 and 15 and will thus be sold in sizes 5 to 15(2). Starting today, Samsung is also updating the Samsung Health app(3) and supplements it with new functions that improve sleep analysis and thus contribute to healthier sleep. New functions include information about the surrounding environment while sleeping, advice on sleep duration and mindfulness monitoring. These news marks the next step in Samsung’s long-term efforts for better sleep through modern technologies, which can now be used by a larger number of users.
Galaxy Ring(4) represents an innovative way to simply take care of your health. It uses the proven technology of Samsung sensors, discreetly hidden in an elegant ring. It provides knowledge that will help you better understand your body and its needs. The Galaxy Ring is designed to continuously monitor health(5). Thanks to its low weight(6) from 2.3 grams to 3.0 grams ensure comfort even during longer wear. The stylish concave surface not only looks great, but also increases durability. Water resistance up to 10 ATM(7) and titanium surface treatment (Titanium Grade 5(8)) allow use in difficult conditions. The ring has a battery life of up to 7 days(9) and is charged using a specially designed case(10). The charging status is displayed by the aesthetic LED lighting. The comfortable and light Galaxy Ring with a long battery life greatly simplifies everyday wellness with special emphasis on sleep.
Since its global launch in July 2024, the Galaxy Ring has been sold in 38 countries, including Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Canada, Qatar, Korea, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Mexico, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Austria, Romania, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Great Britain and USA.
15 more markets will soon see the ring: SlovakiaIsrael, Japan, South Africa, Cyprus, Hungary, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, Greece, Singapore, Czech Republic, Taiwan, Vietnam and Zambia. It will be sold in eleven sizes from 5 to 15. You can express your personal style thanks to three color variants – black titanium, silver titanium, gold titanium. You will be able to find out your size from the comfort of your home with a test kit.
In addition to the new versions and markets for the Galaxy Ring, there is also an updated version of the Samsung Health app with more personalized and comprehensive health features(11) aimed mainly at better sleep and a healthier everyday life.
- In combination with the SmartThings platform, the Samsung Health application can analyze the surrounding environment during sleep and evaluate various factors – temperature, humidity, air quality or light intensity in the room. In the morning, the system will then create a report on the sleeping environment(12) and advice on how to adjust the surrounding conditions. The SmartThings platform can also be used to automatically set the conditions in the room after falling asleep.
- The system also offers advice on sleep duration(13)especially when it is best to go to bed, tailored according to sleeping habits, patterns and conditions. It’s more than just the usual sleep analysis – Samsung Health offers detailed information and advice on how to sleep better, and recommends optimal times to fall asleep and wake up based on your sleep quality and daily habits.
- There is also a new mindfulness monitoring, that is, receptivity – this makes it possible to improve the mental state, which again results in healthier sleep. The application allows you to monitor moods and provides various advice and instructions for breathing exercises or meditation.

(7) The Galaxy Ring is waterproof up to 100 meters according to the ISO22810 standard. The test was performed in water with a 5% salt concentration and water with a 4 ppm chlorine concentration. The Galaxy Ring is also water resistant and has an IP68 rating. In laboratory tests, it was immersed in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. It is not suitable for activities in water under high pressure and for diving. It can be used for shallow water activities such as swimming in a pool or in the sea. Water resistance is not permanent and may decrease over time. If it has been exposed to sea water, then rinse it in fresh water and dry it. Tested based on the results of the pre-sale version of the device under the scenario of sleep monitoring for 6 hours, exercise detection for 1.5 hours and several specific events (20x reconnect after disconnection, 3x Samsung Health app setting change, 0.5x function launch Find My Ring, 3 minutes of gestures) assuming 24-hour use. Actual battery life may vary depending on different usage patterns, device model or battery manufacturer. The nominal capacity is 17 mAh for Galaxy Ring sizes 5, 6 and 7 (battery life on a single charge of up to 5 days), 18.5 mAh for sizes 8, 9, 10 and 11 (battery life on a single charge of up to 6 days) and 22.5 mAh for sizes 12 and 13 (battery life per charge up to 7 days). Testing was conducted by Samsung using a USB-C fast charging cable and a Samsung 25W USB-C power adapter. Charging time varies depending on settings, usage and environmental factors; actual values may vary.
