Samsung has filed a patent application for a handheld gaming console, reports 91mobiles. According to the patent, the proposed console should be equipped with a foldable screen, like the company’s Z Fold and Z Flip phones, which could make it easier to carry around.
The patent drawings were posted on World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), shows a device with two joysticks on either side of the console. However, it is difficult to see which additional buttons or functions are on the console.
However, specifications and dimensions of the console are unknown. Since the patent application was registered in 2022, it is also uncertain if the console will ever reach the market or if Samsung intends to develop foldable screens for other manufacturers of handheld consoles.

Interest in handheld game consoles has increased recently. In the past, Microsoft has shown interest in developing a handheld Xbox. Recently, it has started to be rumored that Sony is working on a handheld console that will be able to play PS5 games.
