Samsung’s new 2025 displays bring artificial intelligence, gaming performance and optimized productivity to CES

Samsung Electronics has today unveiled its 2025 monitor line up; The Smart Monitor, Odyssey and ViewFinity series, all of which will be showcased at Samsung’s First Look event at CES on January 5. The 2025 models raise the bar for displays by introducing AI features, industry-leading sizes in the OLED market and new form factors that capture the interest of users around the world – whether they’re working, gaming or expressing their creativity.

Smart Monitor M9: entertainment and efficiency get an AIoverhaul

The Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF model) introduces new AI functions that optimize entertainment and interactions through intelligent picture matching and search functions.

As Samsung’s first monitor to integrate on-device AI, the M9 AI Picture Optimizerwhich analyzes input signals to determine the type of content on the screen — such as gaming, video or productivity activities — and automatically adjusts the screen settings for the best possible user experience.(1) For gamers, the AI ​​goes beyond simply recognizing the genre of the game – it fine tunes the visual settings to deliver an optimal immersive user experience for any style of play.(2)

M9 also includes 4K AI Upscaling Prowhich uses advanced AI processing and neural networks to upscale lower resolution content to 4K quality.(3) By analyzing input signals and existing image data, this feature delivers crystal-clear visual experiences with enhanced detail, regardless of the native resolution.

The intelligent and personalized features enhance the hardware performance of the M9. It includes a 32” 4K OLED screen with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, which ensures exceptional details and true-to-life colors. Its slim design together with the Easy Setup stand makes it easy for users to create their ideal workplace and the built-in 4K camera can be cleverly used in any environment.

The Samsung Odyssey series: Two industry innovations with a 27” 4K OLED gaming screen and an OLED screen with 500Hz update rate

The Odyssey gaming display series delivers industry-leading performance in new sizes with the 2025 Odyssey OLED G8 and -G6 models.

Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF model) is the first 27” 4K (3,840 x 2,160) OLED gaming monitor in the world. The screen packs 165 PPI (pixels per inch) and with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz. The high pixel density and screen smoothness give game developers and gamers a new dimension of detail and image quality when creating and exploring realistic game worlds.

On the other hand, Odyssey redefines the OLED G6 (G60SF– the model) speed as the first OLED display to date with a 500Hz refresh rate on its QHD (2,560 x 1,440) display. The 2025 ViewFinity S8 model is certified by TÜV Rheinland(6) as an ‘Ergonomic Workspace Display,’ and is recognized for its ergonomic design that improves work immersion, task efficiency and productivity. The TÜV-certified(7) Intelligent Eye Care reduces eye fatigue – even with prolonged use – by adjusting the color temperature based on the ambient lighting.
