Samsung’s New Patent Shows Foldable Screens Can Be Used in Portable Gaming Devices

Samsung is considered one of the first brands to popularize foldable devices with its Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip phones. Over time, other brands followed suit by releasing their own versions of foldable phones. It should also be said that the usability of these foldable phones seems to be in good shape. This year, Huawei launched its new Mate XT model, a foldable phone with 3 screens.

In recent weeks, a new Samsung patent was published by the World Intellectual Property Organization. This patent explains how Samsung’s foldable screens can be used in portable gaming devices. The drawings in the patent give some information about how this device might work if such a device is produced.

According to several reports, Samsung Display group, which is part of the display manufacturing division of Samsung Electronics, has applied for a new patent. The patent shows that the portable gaming device increases its portability by folding in the middle, similar to the Galaxy Z Flip series. Even if the device is folded, there are built-in game control buttons on both sides.

Although this new patent was drawn by Samsung nearly two years ago, it has just been registered internationally. Since a long time has passed, we have not received any news about this from the company. However, these new screens may be used for different gaming devices in the near future.
