The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 Pro is coming and it is significantly faster than its predecessor. This is what you can expect.
‘Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 Pro chip leaked’
Samsung’s XCover phones are made for users who often find themselves in harsh environments. The devices have a robust housing and are made of materials that can better withstand a bump or fall. The phones are usually not equipped with very fast hardware, but that now seems to be changing.
A new rumor shows that Samsung is working on the XCover 7 Pro, the better version and successor to the XCover 7 that was released early last year. That device already made great strides compared to its predecessors, but the 7 Pro takes it one step further.
The smartphone is reportedly equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip. That new processor made its debut in the Redmi Note 14, which was released earlier this month. Although it is not the fastest chip of the moment, it is certainly an improvement over the MediaTek processor in the XCover 7.
It is not yet known what else the XCover 7 Pro has to offer. Its predecessor came with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage space and a 4050 mAh battery. At the front you will find a 6.6-inch screen with a Full HD resolution.
What also contributes to the sturdiness of the Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 is the IP68 dust and water resistance. In addition, it is certified with a MIL-STD-810H rating to better withstand drops and bumps. On the back you will find contact points to connect accessories. We expect the 7 Pro to maintain this build quality and features as well.

Conclusion Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 review
It is nice that Samsung is also still focusing on the market rugged smartphones, because that is and remains a niche market. The Xcover 7 is a complete device if you are looking for a robust rascal, but be aware that it is not the best of the best in this segment.
The Xcover 7 is not the fastest on the market and the other hardware is fine, but not special. For the recommended retail price of 359 euros, we certainly don’t mind that, but it is worth mentioning. If you care less about that, this device is a very nice purchase that can also last for years in terms of software support.
