MikołAI, a Christmas novelty in ChatGPT
Christmas is a magical time that awakens the inner child even in the largest tech industry giants. There are Christmas promotions on electronics, Christmas events in games, Christmas movies on VOD platforms, and finally such tidbits as a Christmas voice assistant from OpenAI.
Sam Altman’s company announced many surprises in December as part of the twelve-day Shipmas event. There were such delights as the o3 model, which is supposed to be a math master, as well as Sora, which lands in the hands of the first users – unfortunately not those from the EU. However, the most interesting novelty from the perspective of celebrating holidays is the Santa variant in Advanced Voice Mode. OpenAI has provided ChatGPT users with a virtual assistant trained to behave like MikołAI.
Santa in ChatGPT – how to enable it
This actually is quite simple. After updating the application, simply switch to Advanced Voice Mode by clicking the winter snowflake icon. Then the application will take us to the selection of the voice model – there we will find the Santa variant, thanks to which ChatGPT will change beyond recognition. OpenAI’s assistant seriously sticks to the Santa Claus role, cracking holiday jokes and complementing them with hearty laughter. He will also be happy to tell you how he uses artificial intelligence in his work, for example to determine routes to the homes of well-behaved children, analyze letters or personalize gifts. ChatGPT is really into the Christmas spirit – when asked to create a graphic depicting himself, he generated this image:
Sure – this function probably won’t make much of an impression on bitter grinches, but it can bring a lot of joy to children, and that’s what joy is all about during the holidays!
You can also use MikołAI’s version of ChatGPT in the classic text version, but you need to remember one thing. Availability is limited for a limited time, and the Santa variant will disappear with advanced voice features in early January. So you still have a little over a week to talk to Santa Claus, but the good news is that you can do it without any restrictions, because the Christmas function will also work in the standard voice mode after exhausting the advanced voice mode.
