SARAJEVO – The Cantonal Committee of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina Sarajevo says that the budget of Sarajevo Canton is in the stage of “clinical death”. This party stated that they will show the destruction caused by the Troika parties (SDP, NiP and NS) by presenting part of the data from the draft budget for 2025.
In the budget for 2019, total allocations from interest and loan principal amounted to 33 million KM. Allocations for interest and loan principals will amount to 105 million KM in the budget for 2025.
Total allocations for salaries and compensation of employee expenses in the budget for 2019 amounted to 416 million KM, while at the same time tax revenues amounted to 715 million KM. According to the budget for 2025, allocations for salaries and employee expenses will amount to 693 million KM, while at the same time tax revenues will amount to 1.046 billion KM.
“Given data on salaries and benefits, it is evident that the increase in tax revenue is accompanied, almost entirely, by the growth of salaries and benefits, and there would be no problem if other allocations did not increase, and the increase in allocations for interest and loan principal stands out here in particular and by more than 3 times compared to the period 2019-2025. year”, they state.
Reduced subsidies for public enterprises
Subsidies for public companies in the budget for 2024 amounted to 104 million KM, while the budget for 2025 provided an amount of 28 million KM. A decrease in the allocation of funds for public companies would, at first, be a positive signal, but knowing that most of these companies survive thanks to these funds, the collapse of the financial base of these companies can be expected.
“The losses of utility companies in 2024 will be huge, and probably historic, and with this Draft they have been given a signal that even the KS Government cannot help them. To summarize, all extravagance, credit debts, the purchase of social peace of budget users and so on will be paid in the budget for 2025.
