Schedule posts on threads soon

The much-anticipated scheduling option for Threads posts is in the works in the app. This means that users can use the platform even better for their content strategy, branding and marketing in general.

Threads is experiencing mega growth these days, but still leaves something to be desired in the content creation process for some creators. One of them probably relates to the fact that contributions cannot yet be planned. But that is likely to change soon.

Threads with scheduling feature for posts, drafts and 1 million new users per day

The meta platform and X-competitor Threads is currently experiencing immense growth. According to Instagram boss Adam Mosseri, the app is growing by almost a million users every day. More than 15 million new users were added in November. At the end of the third quarter, Threads already had 275 million users – in the summer it had jumped from 175 to 200 million and the 150 million mark was only reached in April.

However, the large user growth also requires Meta to continue to expand the creator functions in order to satisfy the users. That’s why the group is currently testing a function to create and save drafts. This was discovered by app researcher Jonah Manzano.

On the other hand, according to reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi, the first creators can use a scheduling tool to finally schedule posts. When such a planning option was rolled out for the Instagram app almost two years ago, creators were also very happy.

It is still unclear when exactly the features on Threads will be rolled out to all users. Given the immense growth, they are likely to be introduced soon to convince users of the usability of the app.

For marketers, Threads could soon become an important factor in the marketing mix. The first ads will be available on the platform from the beginning of 2025.
