School sends students home because their skirts were deemed too short by teachers

A humiliating practice for schoolgirls applies the secondary school “Ryde Academy”, which is located on the British Isle of Wight, in the English Channel.

According to her Telegraphwith the start of the new school year the teachers of “Ryde Academy” – a school attended by boys and girls – they lined up 70 schoolgirls and for two hours measured the length of their skirts.

Some of the students were then sent home because their skirts were deemed too short by the teachers.

Many parents protested about the humiliation of the students, but the school – where in 2014 he caused an uproar when he placed 250 schoolgirls in isolation for wearing short skirts – argued that it was “very clear” about the expectations it had for schoolgirls’ uniforms and that parents had been warned since the summer.

It is noted that the school is public for students from 11 to 18 years old.

A disgruntled mother of a student said the school requires female students to wear knee-length pleated skirts, but skirts that fit the waist and are long enough are hard to find on the market.

“If you’re taller, you can’t find a skirt,” said the mother, while another parent complained about schoolgirls being expelled because their skirt length wasn’t considered the right length.

Ryde Academy’s ‘tough policy’

Some parents said teachers pulled some students out of the classroom because the T-shirts for gym class were too tight and had round necks instead of V-necks.
