Students’ absences from classes due to seasonal viral respiratory infections will be registered, but not counted, according to information from the Ministry of Education.
More specifically, from December 1, 2024 until April 30, 2025, student absences from classes of up to five (5) working days will be registered, but not counted, with a relevant decision of the Teachers’ Association.
Said decision will be issued upon request and upon presentation by the interested parties of a recent certificate from a public or private nursing institution or a private doctor, certifying the type and duration of the illness. These absences are beyond the number of absences provided for by the more general or more specific provisions.
