Foreign. Sweden Democrats member of parliament Josef Fransson expresses his support for Donald Trump in the upcoming US presidential election, despite the party not officially taking a stand for any candidate.

Josef Fransson is in the US together with SD colleagues Dennis Dioukarev and Tobias Andersson to follow the election campaign.

They recently attended a campaign rally at Penn State University in Pennsylvania where they were inspired by Trump’s performance. Fransson describes the meeting as “powerful” and highlights that Trump made the audience laugh and engaged in freedom of speech issues.

– It was powerful to get in there and experience such a “rally”. There were easily 10,000 people and a super talented singer sang the national anthem and wailed like only her, says Josef Fransson to The Express.

During the meeting, Trump also brought up the death penalty for foreign citizens convicted of murder, something Fransson called “pointy” but himself is neutral about. The SD politician also emphasizes that the US is facing a “huge problem with criminality among illegal immigrants” and criticizes Kamala Harris for letting in “over 13,000 convicted murderers”.

Fransson emphasizes that he is not in favor of the death penalty, but believes that Trump’s conservative policies can be a positive example for the world and describes the American “woke culture” as “deranged”.
