(Seoul = Newsis) Reporter Shin Hyo-ryeong = Sean (real name Noh Seung-hwan), a member of the hip-hop duo ‘Jinusean’, announced that he has established the world’s first Lou Gehrig care hospital.
On the 5th, a video titled ‘The secretly hidden 23.9 billion won building is revealed for the first time’ was posted on the YouTube channel ‘With Sean’.
In the video, Sean said, “Today I will reveal a secret. I built a building in Yongin. I will reveal it for the first time.”
He added, “It was built for a very long time. I worked hard to save up for 15 years. It is now 42km from Seoul to that building. Let’s run together.”
Sean ran from Hannam Interchange in Seoul to Yongin via Jamsil Bridge.
Sean, standing in front of the building, said, “It’s my building now.” He added, “It was the dream of my friend, the late CEO Park Seung-il, and me to become Korea’s first, and indeed the world’s, Lou Gehrig care hospital.”
Park Seung-il promised to establish a nursing hospital with Sean and started as co-representative. However, three months before the completion date, he passed away after a 23-year long illness and was unable to see the completed work.
Sean was proud, saying, “Usually when a building is built, it looks a little different from the bird’s eye view, but it’s the same.”
Sean and Park Seung-il have achieved their dream of establishing a hospital with the help of 350,000 sponsors over the past 15 years. The hospital is scheduled to open in March.
Sean said, “This is the last gift I give to Seungil, who is currently in heaven.” He added, “After meeting Seungil and dreaming of establishing a Lou Gehrig nursing hospital, we ran together to raise money. Although he is now in heaven, we built this hospital for Seungil. “This is my last gift to you because you lost,” he said, crying.
In addition, Sean said, “I have been the CEO for 15 years and have not received a single penny in salary.” “I am grateful to the people who helped me. Hyeyoung and I also supported the Lou Gehrig Nursing Hospital and donated approximately 700 million won to the Seungil Hope Foundation over 13 years.”
