On Sunday, SEAT celebrated the ‘Be the impulse 2024’ race, a solidarity race that was held at the company’s facilities in Martorell and which had close to 5,700 participants among company workers, family members and friends. Thanks to the contributions of the registrants and a charity raffle, they managed to raise more than 29,500 euros, which was complemented by a direct donation of 49,500 euros from SEAT.

The funds raised, which exceed 79,000 euros, will be allocated entirely to the #SumapelRaval project of the Tot Raval Foundation, for the training of professionals and the creation of four multi-sensory rooms in the Raval neighborhood of Barcelona for boys, girls and teenagers with neurodevelopmental disorders.

In this edition, the race ‘Be the impulse 2024’ has had two routes of 7 and 10 kilometers distance that passed through the workshops of the Martorell factory, as well as the Fast Line VZ5 speed race, of 100 meters distance . For the little ones, a race of 1,000 meters was organized, the Raval Kids Run.

The event offered a wide variety of fun and recreational activities, in addition to the presence of members of the SEAT Executive Committee, who were in charge of handing out prizes to the winners of each category and to the most participatory team.

Through the #SumapelRaval project, promoted by the Tot Raval Foundation and with the support of SEAT, the social inclusion of children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, dyslexia and ADHD is promoted, among other initiatives, through the creation of multisensory rooms.

The facilities, located in the open centers of the Raval district of Barcelona, are designed to offer a safe and adapted environment for learning and the emotional well-being of young people, offering them educational opportunities adjusted to their sensory needs.

The Tot Raval Foundation, active in the Raval neighborhood of Barcelona since 2002, works to promote social cohesion, coexistence and improve the quality of life of its residents. In response to the economic difficulties exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis, the Foundation launched the #SumapelRaval project, which collects funds and donations to support families in vulnerable situations.

From 2023, this initiative also promotes community projects focused on improving the well-being of the neighborhood. With the ‘Be the impulse 2024’ race, SEAT supports social and community development by collaborating with projects that promote equal opportunities and respect for diversity.
