In the spring of 2023, the commercial launch of Togg and the production of its first car, the T10X, began. Today we see a video from inside the factory, owned by the Turkish automaker – the neighboring country’s first major manufacturer of electric cars, the production process for the company’s first SUV.
Togg was founded in 2018 as a joint venture between four Turkish companies and the country’s chamber of commerce in hopes that it could put Turkey on the automotive map.
The T10X is offered in two versions, with the first starting from 953,000 pounds (47,385 euros) and the second from 1,215,000 pounds (60,415 euros). In comparison, the VW ID.4 starts in Turkey from 701,820 pounds (34,920 euros) and goes up to 925,920 pounds (46,065 euros).
The first version carries an electric motor on the rear axle with an output of 218 hp with 350 Nm of torque, which does 0-100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, having a 52.4 kWh battery that offers a range of 314 km (WLTP).
The most powerful version, which will be available from October, is four-wheel drive, has two electric motors, one per axle, which produce 435 horses with 700 Nm of torque, with 0-100 km/h done in 4.8 seconds. It carries an 88.5 kWh battery that gives a range of 523 km (WLTP) per charge.
Its batteries charge from 20% to 80% via a 180 kW fast charger in 30 minutes, while using a simple household outlet, their full charge time is approximately 10 hours.
