The Paris-based developer was acquired by Sega in 2016. In the eight years since then, Amplitude has continued to develop and release Endless Space 2, Humankind, Endless Dungeon, and Dungeon of the Endless. While the studio has yet to announce its future plans as an independent company, it plans to continue updating Humankind.
