Seocho-gu Council (Chairman Go Seon-jae) visited the Seoul National Cemetery on the afternoon of the 6th to pay respects and began its first official legislative activities in 2025.

This visit was attended by Seocho District Council members, including Chairman Ko Seon-jae, and District Mayor Jeon Seong-su. Attendees expressed their gratitude to the martyrs through wreaths and incense, and pledged that the council and executive branch would work together for the development of Seocho-gu.

Chairman Ko Seon-jae said, “As we welcome the new year, we reflect on the noble sacrifices of those who devoted themselves to our country, and Seocho-gu Council will take the lead in creating a better society.”

In particular, this year, unlike previous years, formal events such as New Year’s parties were omitted, and the New Year started with a calm and simple visit to the shrine, adding more meaning.

Seocho-gu Council plans to open its 338th extraordinary session on the 10th and begin full-scale legislative activities.
