Serbia will get a new 130 kilometers of high-speed roads by the end of the year

The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, announced that by the end of 2024, more than 130 kilometers of expressways and highways in Serbia will be completed. Within these plans, the most important part includes the opening of a 54-kilometer high-speed road on the route from Šabac to Loznica, as well as the opening into traffic of the 30-kilometer Moravian Corridor, which connects Kruševac and Vrnjačka Banja.

According to Vesić’s announcement on social networks, the plan is to finish it 35 kilometers of the Danube Corridorwith key sections from the highway Belgrade-Niš to Požarevac, and from Golupac to Gradište. These infrastructure projects represent an important step towards improving the road network and accelerating economic development.

Vesić stated that five kilometers of road in Valjevo will be completed by the end of the year, while breaking through the right tube of the Munjino brdo tunnelon the highway Pakovraće-Požega, another significant shift. It is expected that this section of the Miloš Veliki highway, which is almost 20 kilometers long, will be open to traffic on Vidovdan 2025.
