Sergio Mattarella was the last Italian to enter

The reopening ceremony

December 7th, the day of the reopening, will be one inaugural ceremony: in addition to the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, there will be “very great artists of international scope”, he announced Philippe Jost (responsible for restoration) a RTL. Over 3 thousand people are expected.

The first solemn mass will be held on 8 December, 2064 days after the fire.

Money donated from all over the world for the restoration

Sergio Mattarella is the last Italian to visit the cathedral since 2019

The last Italian to visit the cathedral was the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, on the occasion of the visit to France for the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci.
