Domestic. The production company SF Studios has issued a warning after an unknown man pretended to be a cast member and sought out young people for test filming, the company writes in a press release.
According to the company, several parents have reported that their children were contacted by the man, who claims to work for SF Studios.
– Several parents have contacted us when their children have been contacted, says Iréne Lindblad, CEO of SF Studios, to Aftonbladet.
In a post on social media, SF Studios writes:
“We are NOT currently in any casting process for any film or television production seeking children or youth to act and have not hired this man.”
The company points out that they do not know who the man is and that no one in the industry has heard of him.
Lindblad says that SF Studios has reported the incident to the police and urges parents to do the same if their children have been contacted.
“We take it very seriously that someone is using our brand to reach minors in this way,” she writes.
SF Studios urges parents to be alert and cautious about unknown contact attempts from individuals who claim to work in the film industry.
