The rules that apply when you have to buy Triss were seriously rewritten last week, since a mother in her 30s was refused to buy lottery tickets in an Ica store.
The reason was that she, accompanied by her little daughter, said that “we would like to buy two trislots”.
The shop assistant got stuck on the word “we” and chose to deny her the purchase. She had not felt sure if the lottery tickets were to be used by adults only.

Svenska spel’s response: “The agent was right”
In a comment to News24 confirmed Svenska spel’s press service that the shop acted correctly.
“According to the law, there is an 18-year age limit for buying games and lotteries in Sweden, and our agents receive training in which laws and regulations apply. As far as we know, the agent understood it as someone under the age of 18 would buy or scratch the lottery and then purchase is denied. Based on that, we think the agent did the right thing.”
Otherwise, it should not be difficult to buy tris slots, Svenska spel stated.

Criticism of the Triss rules: “So stupid the clocks stop”
But the regulations surrounding Triss arouse emotions, it has turned out.

Swedish Games’ response to the criticism
But not everyone thinks the rules for buying Triss, and everything it entails, are “idiotic” or “so stupid that the clocks stop”.
Jonas BlomerSales Manager Retail at Svenska Spel says the following in a comment to Nyheter24:
“The law that you have to be 18 to buy games is there to protect young people and we think that’s a good thing.”
