The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne rejected the appeal of Indian wrestler Vineš Fogatova against her exclusion from the Paris Olympics.

She will not win a silver medal in the category up to 50 kg, although she made it to the final.
Before the final, Fogatová exceeded the weight limit by 100 grams, although she fit within it the previous day.
The World Wrestling Federation (UWW) subsequently excluded her from the tournament, and the Cuban Yusneylis Guzmanová Lopezová fought for the gold, whom the Indian defeated in the semi-finals.
The title of Olympic champion was finally won by the American Sarah Hildebrandtová, and Fogatová announced the end of her career at the age of 29. She informed AFP.
