A woman who took out a loan for 500 thousand rubles using someone else’s passport will be tried in St. Petersburg. The St. Petersburg resident was charged under Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (large-scale fraud).
As reported by the press service of the prosecutor’s office of the Northern capital, the accused pasted her photo into the passport with the real data of an unknown woman in order to steal the bank’s money. The investigation established that with the help of a forged document, the St. Petersburg resident managed to get a loan of 500 thousand rubles from the bank. The Russian woman spent the funds issued on personal needs.
The criminal case against the credit fraudster will soon be heard by the Nevsky District Court, the supervisory agency added.
