The one who recounted the last moments of the American actress was her oncologist, Doctor Lawrence D. Pirowho had also become a friend of the 53-year-old who died last July 13 in Malibu.

“It was a dark and sad moment, but also incredibly beautiful and full of love. The hardest thing to accept was that she wasn’t ready to leave this world because she loved living.”he added.
Shannen fought until the end: “In her mind, the only option was ‘get over this and live.’ We never discussed what that meant in terms of additional time because she wasn’t coping with the illness that way. He wanted to live every day as if it were the beginning of a new chapter in his life.”.
“We continued until we couldn’t. In the last conversation we had, she was starting to realize that things had taken a significant turn. We talked about love, support, care, and the continued fight. She wanted to continue to fight and heal, even though her physical condition was getting worse. And so we did.”concluded the doctor.
Shannen had discovered she had a breast cancer in 2015. She went into remission a couple of years later, but in 2020 the cancer returned, reaching stage 4, with metastases to her bones and brain.
Shannen had sold her house to pay for trips with her mother, including a stay in Italy.
