Feral Interactive, a studio specializing in porting console and PC games to Apple platforms, published the classic strategy game Sid Meier’s Railroads! on the App Store in April. Now, the company has decided to change its distribution model, making part of the game available for testing for free.
Sid Meier is a designer known primarily for the cult Civilization series. A year before the release of its first part, he also created another popular strategy game – Railroad Tycoon – which allowed us to play the role of a railroad baron. Sid Meier’s Railroads! is the spiritual successor to this production, based on the same idea but presenting it in a slightly more modern, three-dimensional version. The mobile port prepared by Feral Interactive offers all the content known from the original, but introduces a completely redesigned user interface adapted to use with a touch screen.
With the changes now implemented by Feral Interactive, new players can Download Sid Meier’s Railroads! from the App Store for free and test the first 20 years of gameplay in one of the available scenarios in the game. Unlocking the full version requires a one-time fee of PLN 39.99.
