Signal is even closer to Zoom

The chat has been expanded with useful convenience functions.

With new developments, Signal, which functions primarily as an encrypted chat, is trying to become more competitive against Zoom and Google Meet, the market leaders in video conferencing services. The latest update now includes the ability to share join links to calls, which makes creating group calls significantly more convenient. Previously, it was only possible to initiate a call from a group conversation, now it is enough to just send the link to friends or colleagues.

Another new feature is the dedicated “Call” page for tracking calls, where you can review the call history and manage the calls themselves.

A raise hand button for video calls has also arrived, which has been available in other services for quite some time. By pressing this, the participant can signal that he has something to say. The new features are available in the latest version of Signal on Android, iOS and desktop.
