Over 103,000 Romanians from abroad voted in the presidential elections until Saturday at 3:00 p.m. In 2019, until the same time, the number of voters was over 153,000 people.

According to the website prezenta.roaep.ro, 103,863 people voted at polling stations abroad. 4,227 people who opted for postal voting are added to them, news.ro wrote.

In 2019, at the same time, more than 153,062 people had voted, to which were added 25,189 who voted by mail.

After five years, 675,348 voters from abroad voted in the first round of the presidential elections.

Voting abroad for the first round of the presidential election takes place over three days: Friday, November 22, 2024, between 12:00 and 21:00 local time, Saturday, November 23, 2024 and Sunday, November 24, 2024, between 7:00 local time :00 and 21:00 (with the possibility of extension until 23:59, on Sunday, for citizens who, at 21:00, are in the polling station headquarters, as well as for those who are in line outside the polling station headquarters to enter the voting premises).
