It was found that the service to simplify actual loss insurance claims attracted more than 600,000 subscribers within a month of its launch.
According to data received from the Insurance Development Institute by Rep. Kim Hyun-jung of the Democratic Party of Korea on the 26th, since the launch of the actual loss claim simplification service on the 25th of last month, 613,030 people have signed up for the service application (app) ‘Actual Loss 24’ as of the 22nd of this month. Actual Loss 24 is a service that allows you to claim actual loss insurance directly through a mobile phone app without the need to obtain paper documents from a hospital.
As of the 22nd, it was calculated that 26,052 insurance claims had been made. The number of claims per week is also increasing. The number of insurance claims increased from 3,134 in the 1st week (October 25-31) to 5,434 in the 2nd week (November 1-7), 7,168 in the 3rd week (8-14), and 1 in the 5th week (15-22). It increased to 316 cases.
However, the low participation of hospitals is considered a challenge. On the 25th of last month, there were 210 hospitals that could immediately use the simplification of actual cost insurance claims, but in a month, the number increased by 40, and 250 hospitals now have access to computerized claims. This accounts for only 3% of the total 7,725 hospital-level care institutions targeted.
