SimScale announced a set of enhancements to deepen support for real-time simulation-driven design for the automotive industry. SimScale thus wants to help its customers discover new generation engineering techniques. Techniques like these are only possible thanks to cloud-based simulation platforms, where model and simulation data persist in a way that is immediately accessible to AI, generative design, and optimization workflows.

Newly announced features include:

  • AI: Enhancements to a fully functional AI simulation feature that sits alongside physics solvers and assumes all simulation data will be used for AI training and inference, accelerating rapid design convergence in the cloud.
  • Elektromagnetismus: Solver improvements in areas such as electrostatic analysis, core losses for time-harmonic magnetism, and nonlinear materials in time-harmonic magnetism.
  • Elektronika: Improvements to the conjugate heat transfer (CHT) solver across temperature-dependent solid material properties, physically based meshing in the CHT solver (IBM), and 3D spatial definition for surface heat flux in CHT simulations.
  • Strukturální analýza: cross-application enhancements such as pin connectors, global damping in harmonic analysis, 3D modeling of pressure boundary conditions, and increased disk storage for harmonic and dynamic analyses.
  • Podniková spolupráce: user and team management features that facilitate the deployment of SimScale to large, globally dispersed engineering and simulation teams.

This platform announcement comes alongside the announcement that SimScale has passed the milestone of 600k registered users of its platform.
