Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner also succeeded in the third match at the Champions Tournament in Turin.
In the position of the seeded unit, he defeated the foursome of the “spider” Russian Daniil Medvedev 6:3, 6:4 and won the group of Ilie Nastase without losing a set.
The American Taylor Fritz, who dealt with Medvedev and also won over the Australian Alex de Minaur on Thursday, advanced to the semi-finals.
Last year, Sinner fought his way to the final on home soil, where he lost to Serbian Novak Djokovic.
