Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner also succeeded in his second appearance at the Champions Tournament in Turin.
In Ilie Nastase’s group, he defeated the American Taylor Fritz’s five “spider” 6:4, 6:4 in the position of the seeded unit and came close to advancing to the semifinals.
At home, he followed up his triumph over Fritz in the US Open final, when he broke his opponent 5:4 in both sets.
In the opening match of the tournament, he won over Australian Alex de Minaur 2:0, and in the final match with Russian Daniil Medvedev, he only needs to win a set to advance to the semi-finals.
