SK Hynix supported the winter of vulnerable groups in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province.
SK Hynix donated Onnuri mobile gift certificates worth 190 million won to Cheongju City on the 27th. This is to provide winter heating for vulnerable groups in the region and to support vulnerable children.
Of the deposited funds, 150 million won will be used to provide 200,000 won each to 750 households with heating vulnerabilities in the winter, and 40 million won will be provided to each child eligible for Dream Start, including 100,000 won. SK Hynix delivered Onnuri mobile gift certificates to support the underprivileged and participate in the revitalization of traditional markets.
SK Hynix is carrying out various social contribution activities, such as the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Happy Aging project to bridge the digital gap among the elderly, the Youth Startup Park to solve youth employment issues, and the handball project to help improve the social skills of people with developmental disabilities. Cheongju Mayor Lee Beom-seok said, “We are grateful for SK Hynix’s donation to the local community,” and added, “Cheongju City will cooperate with local companies to improve the welfare of residents.”
